CThe graph of y = | x – 3 | is the same as the graph of y = x – 3 for values of x ≥ 3, but is a reflection in the x axis of y = x – 3 for values of x ≤ 3. <br/><br/>We know then, that the graph will have a V shape, since all values of y are positive (never going below the x axis).<br/><br/>We can also calculate that when y = 0, x =3 (0 = x-3; x = 3) so the bottom point of the V will be at x = 3. ∴Graph C shows y = | x – 3 |.
